Travel Health & Vaccinations in Toowoomba
Clifford Gardens Medical Centre is a Yellow Fever-accredited travel clinic inside Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre, and a member of the Travel Medicine Alliance. Dr Rhiannon Bevan sees travellers from across Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.
Planning your trip
The right time to see a travel doctor is as soon as you have an itinerary. Vaccine courses can run over weeks, malaria prevention needs to start before you leave, and requirements shift with outbreaks and entry rules.
What a consultation covers
- A risk assessment built around your destinations, health history and style of travel
- Yellow fever vaccination and the International Certificate of Vaccination
- The common travel vaccines: hepatitis A and B, typhoid, rabies and Japanese encephalitis
- Malaria prevention planning and prescriptions where needed
- Advice on food and water safety, insect-borne illness and traveller’s diarrhoea
- Post-travel assessment for fever or illness after you return
Finding the clinic
The practice is inside Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre between Coles and Terry White Chemists, on the corner of James Street and Anzac Avenue. The centre has more than 1,500 car spaces, and the bus exchange is at the Western entry off Anzac Avenue.
